Helping young readers grow in skill and confidence
Does your child need a little extra help with reading? We want to help!
The Reading Assistance Program (RAP) is a free community outreach of the Williamsburg Church of Christ. RAP provides students with additional opportunities to practice reading, receive individual support and encouragement, and build confidence in a positive and supportive environment.
The program is shared with families throughout the Williamsburg-James City County community, and participation is open to families in our area.
Encouragement Makes a Difference
Every child develops reading skills at a different pace. Sometimes a student simply benefits from additional time to practice, individual attention, and someone cheering them on.
RAP gives students another opportunity to work on their reading in an encouraging environment. Our volunteers are here to support their efforts, recognize their progress, and help make reading practice a positive experience.
RAP is completely free for participating families.
