In the sixth of Deuteronomy we read, “So it shall be, when the LORD your God brings you into the land of which He swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give you large and beautiful cities which you did not build,”
Just a thought, if the Lord rewarded Israel with beautiful cities and other immeasurable splendor, why is it today do we think our efforts make all the difference? God states the entirety of all things belong to Him in the fiftieth of the Psalms. Wisdom and understanding can be complete in Christ according to the first of Colossians. The Hebrews did not receive the goodness of God, He just gave it to them…freely, just as He does with us today. We should strive to acknowledge it at the very least in all we do.
