Parcels from the Preacher: January 7, 2024

“O Saviour, bless us ere we go; Thy word into our minds instil, And make our lukewarm hearts to glow, With lowly love and fervent will. Through life’s long day and death’s dark night, O gentle Jesus, be our light. A-men”.

Just a thought, how desperately do we need the Lord? I am sure someone other than myself has contemplated this at least once over their lifetime and have come to the same conclusion there is none outside of Him as chronicled in the first of Colossians. David noted in the one-hundred nineteenth of the Psalms the necessity of His will to avoid sin. We also take note a lukewarm heart will be more disastrous in the last day than any other as seen in the third of Revelation. Jesus died to be the Light of the World and just because we know this does not mean we honor Him as such.

Why not make that simple adjustment today and obey the Gospel, making Him Lord of your life? Praying this rings true!

Have the day you are meant to have in Christ alone,

Archie R. Green
