Parcels from the Preacher: February 18, 2024

In the eighteenth of Matthew, we find an impressive scenario, “The servant therefore fell down before him, saying, ‘Master, have patience with me, and I will pay you all.’ Then the master of that servant was moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt”. Notice how one in a position of power does not use their influence to condemn, but to forgive.

Just a thought, how often do you and I surrender to “positive intent”? Would I have done the same? Would I end up being less like the master, but more like the “unforgiving”, forgiven servant? Paul encouraged the church to practice forgiveness one to another according to the sixth of First Corinthians. The NT Christian should always give way to the other in matters of life as demonstrated by Jesus from the Cross in the twenty-third of Luke. Positive intent can go a long way, just make sure it is given as much as it is being desired to received!

Have the day you are meant to have in Christ alone,
