Parcels from the Preacher: February 25, 2024

In the first of Haggai we read, “You looked for much, but indeed it came to little; and when you brought it home, I blew it away. Why?” says the LORD of hosts. “Because of My house that is in ruins, while every one of you runs to his own house.”

Just a thought, how often do we save the best for last, but that best is for me? God has always desired first fruits as we read in the third of Proverbs. Because we have so much, it is often the case we forget to be thankful and fulfill the will of the Lord through sacrifice. David reminds in the thirty-seventh of the Psalms, the righteous will never be forsaken when the Lord is preferred. You often hear a person state, the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away”; if this is at all true, why not give Him the best, so He will continue to remember you?

Have the day you are meant to have in Christ alone,
