Parcels from the Preacher: March 3, 2024

In the ninth of Jeremiah we read, “Oh, that my head were waters, And my eyes a fountain of tears, That I might weep day and night, For the slain of the daughter of my people!”

Just a thought, this prophet has often been regarded as “weeping” for actions such as those mentioned here. I wonder what they will label any of us after the fact. Will they describe you as a lover of souls urgently catering to the lost as we read in the seventh of Luke? Will they categorize any of us encouragers, as Barnabas is described in the fourth of Acts? Or will we simply be forgotten. Lost like the “rich man”, Having no name, because this world offered so much and gave so little in return. Is it better to weep now, or weep later? Only a just man who has never forgotten their salvation can know.

Have the day you are meant to have in Christ alone,

Archie R. Green
