Parcels from the Preacher: August 6, 2023

“Tell of the cross where they nailed Him, Writhing in anguish and pain. Tell of the grave where they laid Him, Tell how He liveth again. Love in that story so tender, Clearer than ever I see. Stay let me weep while you whisper, Love paid the ransom for me”

Just a thought, no one, and I mean no one should be bored with the narrative of God’s love for mankind as recorded in the third of John. It is the greatest story ever told. The most complete record of God’s merciful grace according to the first of John and is immutable in comprehension for a sinner such as I. Each day a person lives with the reality that sin rules this present age and one cannot overcome without the precious Blood which flowed from His side as we read in the nineteenth of John. The message rings loud and true calling tenderly to those who desire rest in the Rock of Ages. Contemplate this day, while it is today and each of us has been given the opportunity to submit humbly unto salvation. The portrait is truly clear, but can you see it for what it’s worth?

Have the day you are meant to have in Christ alone,

Archie R. Green
